Because of the splint/cast on your nose and the swelling (edema) on your face, your phone's face recognition (Face ID) may not recognize you during the first days after surgery.
For this reason, make sure you remember your phone's screen passcode (PIN) before the surgery. Once your cast is removed and the swelling goes down, Face ID will start working normally again.
